FAQ

What is this blog about?
A little bit of everything. I write the posts while drinking my morning coffee or nightly tea at my desk that faces a window showcasing beautiful foothills. I go through many phases of obsession: cooking, hiking, yoga, wholesome eating. I make challenges for myself to try new lifestyles and some of them work (I am now practicing yoga every day) and some of them don't (I can't eat vegan...I love cheese too much!). You're more than welcome to join me through my college journey.

Does anybody even read your blog?
Who cares! Even if it's just my awesome grandma reading my blog, it makes me happy.

You speak of a "diet" a lot, but then talk about sweets you're indulging in, what's up with that?
Moderation is key. I've lost 10 pounds in a month and quite honestly, that's just fine with me. If I can enjoy a savory small bowl of pasta every few days...I'm a happy girl. If it takes me a year to lose the forty pounds I gained over the past two years, let it! I'd rather be happy than starve myself to get to my goal faster.  I go to the gym at least three times a week and run outside at least twice. I don't drive to class or the grocery store...I walk! I try to stay happy but through these winter days and lack of sun, some days are hard. That's ok, the gym can wait. I never suppress my feelings and try to stay as stress-free as possible to avoid that abdominal fat that is directly linked to the stress of my last few years.

Where do you do yoga and as a college student, how do you afford it?
Occasionally I take a paid yoga class at my school's recreation center, but lately I've been using youtube videos, www.hulu.com, and free podcasts to fulfill the place of a teacher. I bought my yoga mat at TJ Maxx for $8 :)
